Arequipa, Molino de Sabandia

Posted 1 year ago by avatar hans in response to avatar friendship's question: I want to go on a small trip around Arequipa and I'm having trouble deciding where. Can someone who has already been here give a useful advice? (give a different answer) .

Last year I was in Arequipa with my family and one day we just wanted to relax so we decided to go to the Molino de Sabandia to see the first stone mill in the region. It's now reconditioned and you can actually see the water going through the grinding stones (but the guardian said it's only done when visitors come). The countryside scenery with willow trees is very nice. It's 8 km SE of the town.
