If you want to buy something really representative for Cusco, you should look for alpaca clothing and fabrics as Cusco is the weaving centre of the country. Places that sell these things include Alpaca III (in Plaza Regocijo) or Alpaca 3 (on Ruinas) and Cuzmar II (on Portal Mantas; they speak English).
