Convento de los Descalzos in Lima

Posted 1 year ago by avatar hamo in response to ianis's question: Which church should I choose to visit while in Lima? (give a different answer) .

Well, I preferred to visit the Convento de los Descalzos because it displays more than 300 paintings of the Quito, Cusco and Lima schools in the 4 main cloisters. The convent also has 2 ornate chapels, of which chapel El Carmen has a baroque altar made of gold. I was there on a Monday afternoon. The ticket is 1$ and you get a guided tour.
