Is the Convento de Los Descalzos still open for visits?(give a different answer) .
Yes indeed, the Convento de Los Descalzos is still open. It was founded in 1592, on the Alameda de Los Descalzo in Rimac and here you can see over 300 paintings of the Cusco, Quito and Lima schools which line the 4 main cloisters and 2 ornate chapels. The chapel of El Carmen was constructed in 1730 and its known for its baroque goldleaf altar. You can take a guided tour for 1 US$ daily except Tuesday, between 10 am and 6 pm.
