Cerro San Cristobal in Lima

You can take an 1- tour to Cerro San Cristobal with Offisur (only at weekends between 10 and 9). Tours leave from in front of Santo Domingo, Jr Camana. They first show you the Rimac district, then you pass the Convento de los Descaloz and finally you go up the hill passing one the city's oldest shanties, that has houses painted in bright colours. You stay about 20 minutes at the top, from where there are nice views on clear days. There is a cafe and a museum there. The tour is 1.5$.
