Some of the best churches can be seen at Juli: San Pedro, the Cathedral with beautiful screens and nice paintings; San Juan de Bautista (turned into a museum, open only in the mornings) with paintings of St John the Baptist dating from 17th century; Santa Cruz with carvings of monkeys, papayas and grapes; and La Asuncion with a nice bell tower.You can take a colectivo there, for $0.80.
